Pre-k 3
SHCC offers a pre-k 3 program for children 3yrs-4yrs. Children are involved in hands-on learning through learning centers and art. Letter and number recognition, writing their names, and letter sounds are introduced to our 3 year olds through developmentally appropriate games and activities. The younger children are exposed to literacy and math concepts by seeing, hearing and touching materials in our environment, learning centers and activities.
Pre-K
SHCC offers a Pre-K program for children 4yrs-5yrs, before entering Kindergarten. Children are exposed to learning through hands-on experiences in a variety of learning centers. Upper and lower case letter recognition, writing upper and lowercase letters, letter sounds and an introduction to reading are all part of the pre-k literacy program. Children practice counting, number recognition, sequencing and writing numbers within the pre-k math program.
